A flame-thrower exhaust kit is not road-legal in the UK. Deliberately shooting flames from the exhaust is a clear danger to other road users, which breaks the rule that a vehicle must not be used in a way that endangers anyone.

Why?

These kits dump raw fuel into the exhaust and ignite it to produce flames on demand. Regulation 100 requires that a vehicle is used so as not to be a danger to any person, and firing flames out of the back of the car on a public road plainly fails that.

There are knock-on problems too: dumping unburnt fuel wrecks emissions compliance and the associated bangs breach the noise and nuisance rules. So even setting the flames aside, the setup does not meet the emissions and noise requirements.

A flame kit is a show and off-road novelty, not a road-legal modification. Used on the road it exposes you to serious offences well beyond a normal exhaust ticket.
